Micaela Cappa
Micaela Cappa is a graduate from Bethel Seminary of San Diego, California and has a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. She has trained and interned at the San Diego Rescue Mission providing individual, family and couples therapy for clients with comorbid severe mentally health experiences from 2011-2016. Micaela has experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Micaela has been licensed since 2017.
I consider looking at the pneuma-bio-psycho-social components of a client, with the belief that these components are inter-connected and make up the whole self.
I am a cognitive behavioral therapist who incorporates a mindfulness approach. I help clients identify their core beliefs and thought patterns that drive their behaviors while identifying their cognitive distortions that prevent them from living the healthy, functional life that he/she desires. My goal is that the client experiences a safe, non-judgmental place in the therapeutic relationship where they can work through their “stuff” in their own personal journey of healing.
